Eastern and Oriental Express embarks on iconic culinary journeys with guest chefs

Eastern & Oriental Express has announced a partnership with highly acclaimed chefs, Ian Kittichai and Luke Mangan for culinary journeys on 22 Nov 2017, 1 March 2018 and 18 Nov 2018.

Hosted by the train’s Executive Chef, Yannis Martineau, the award-winning chefs have crafted menus blending their contemporary signature styles drawing inspiration from the timeless train and the captivating countries through which it travels. Chef Yannis says, "I am looking forward to welcoming Ian and Luke aboard Eastern & Oriental Express and working together to prepare fine cuisine in the train’s neat and constantly moving galley kitchen –which is always a challenge. Guests travelling with us on these special journeys will taste exceptional bespoke dishes created with passion and originality, aboard one of the world’s most charming and memorable trains."

Also, Belmond has unveiled Eastern & Oriental Express in a concept never seen before as the world of luxury rail travel indulges in a stunning collaboration. The exterior of two of the iconic carriages features a ‘Rolling Canvas’ which depicts the joy of travel, movement and the coming together of friends and family in collaboration with its Singapore-based street artist, Rajesh Kumar. This amazing project will be shown until December 2017 and other exciting projects will follow in 2018.
