Managing Director's Blog, April 2018

Dear Travel Partners,

Welcome to the April edition of our Asia World newsletter.

This month welcomes in the Thai Lunar New Year (‘Songkran’) from 13-15 April. As usual, there will be several days of rowdy, wet and fun in all parts of Thailand. There will also be Lunar New Year celebrations in Cambodia (14-17 April) and Myanmar (13-16 April) so tourists should expect major celebrations.

The Thai wildlife department is closing the world famous Maya Bay, where the Hollywood movie ‘The Beach’ was filmed, to all boats. The planned measures will be from 01st June until 30th September, during the low season, in order to help the coral reefs to rehabilitate. This will mean a small tweak to the Asia World Phi Phi island tours.

For detailed information about our luxury travel services, please go to the ‘Asia World Chic’ section in our Travel Agents website.
